Do You See the Flowers in the Field

Dear Readers,

A lot of exciting developments have happened over the past two weeks! First, our new car has arrived! This lovely grey CRV is our new vehicle of choice. We haven’t given it a name yet (this is a tradition that I picked up from Aburi), as we want to get to know this vehicle a little better. If you have any suggestions let me know.

The second major announcement is that I have officially joined Infinite Ping Inc. as an Organizational Consultant! I am actively looking for clients so if you know anyone who may be interested in connecting about Infinite Ping’s consulting services please reach out to me. I would love to connect.

Because of these two big things above, writing has been a little bit slow. I am also in a phase where I am letting my ideas stew. I am not sure why my writing rhythm involves long periods of  sitting on ideas and letting them grow, but it has been a part of how I have written this book since I started. It is probably not the most efficient way to write. It does, however, work for me.

This Week’s Chapter

Chapter 14 is much more intimate than Chapter 13. Rather than focusing on big ideas of what will happen to the future of the world, we spend the majority of it with Silnethren, working to find his sister, Kalikel, and confront Tilsitar under mount Milmota.
Kalikel is not always an easy person to find, especially if she is processing her own emotions. She, like anyone else needs, needs time to understand her emotions. Kilomond is her brother as well as Silnethren. She too is grieving and grief is a complicated thing
Tilsitar too is grieving in Chapter 14. However, her grief is not only the grief of loss, but also the grief of foolishness and failure. Her path takes a dark turn now.
Please feel free to share these newsletters with other people you think may be interested, and leave comments on the chapters!

“After departing from Ikata’s wall, Silnethren went out into the wilds to again find his sister, Kalikel. But the Goddess of the Wild eluded her brother and it took much time for Silnethren to find Kali. He searched through deep forests and grand caves but she was not there. Nor was she in her mighty rivers, nor in the waterfalls where she held her court. All he found was a great and wizened turtle who sat in the basin beneath the falls soaking in the sun, grand and mighty… ”

Something Extra!

This weeks something extra is Project Hail Marry. This is a great novel (and one of my dad’s favorites). I highly recommend reading this book, before going to see the upcoming movie adaptation. The book is funny and charming while being smart, engaging, and tense. I won’t go into to much detail of the plot as it is hard to talk about without spoiling the book. All I will say is that it involves a last ditch effort to save earth on a space mission light years away from earth.
